Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas the browner, the better!
  • 1/3 cup melted butter unsalted
  • 3/4 cup sugar you can use a bit less if you like it less sweet
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Handful of chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. You can also line it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mash the Bananas

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth (a few lumps are fine).

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

  • Stir in the melted butter, then mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.

Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients

  • Add baking soda and salt. Stir in flour until just combined — don’t overmix!

Step 5: Mix in Add-Ins (If Using)

  • Fold in cinnamon, nuts, or chocolate chips if you’re using any extras.

Step 6: Pour & Bake

  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.

Step 7: Cool & Slice

  • Let it cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack. Wait until it cools down a bit more before slicing.
