Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz orange liqueur like triple sec
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup
  • 1 oz smoky ham-infused simple syrup recipe below
  • Salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Charcuterie board items optional, for garnish
  • Smoky Ham-Infused Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 oz diced smoky ham

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Smoky Ham-Infused Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the diced smoky ham and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  • Strain out the ham and let the syrup cool before using.
  • Prepare the Glass: Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip it into salt to coat.
  • Mix the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, agave syrup, and smoky ham-infused simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.
  • Serve: Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and optionally, some items from a charcuterie board like olives or pickles for an extra touch.
